Hospitality

Course Description:
This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain a national vocational qualification in the hospitality industry. Students will be able to gain skills in working with colleagues and customers, safe work practices and workplace hygiene procedures. Occupations in the hospitality industry include hotel receptionist, housekeeper, hotel manager, waiter, bar attendant, kitchen hand, cook and restaurant manager/owner.

Construction


Construction

Course Description:

This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain a national vocational qualification in the construction industry. Students will be able to gain skills in safe work practices and the use of construction tools and equipment. Skills gained in this industry transfer to other industries. Occupations in the construction industry include construction or trade’s assistant, builder’s labourer, tiler, concreter, painter and decorator and wall or floor tiler.

Metal and Engineering


Metal and Engineering

Course Description:

This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain a national vocational qualification in the manufacturing, engineering and related industries. Students will be able to gain skills in safe work practices, routine work activities, working with others and quality procedures. Occupations in the metal, manufacturing and engineering industries include fitter, toolmaker, engineering draftsperson, boat builder/repairer and mechanical, production or marine engineer.
