Principal's Message

Welcome

At Cobar High School we promote a safe and caring learning environment where learning is valued. We are proud to be part of the NSW Public Education System and encompass the core values which are embedded in our school policies.

We are committed to the ‘Reading to Learn’ program to improve literacy and to the Connected School Program in the Bourke School Education Group which is focussed at Stage 6 (Years 11 & 12) and some Stage 5 (School Certificate).

In 2010 there are 4 focus teams in the areas of Literacy, Numeracy, Gifted and Talented and Quality Teaching which consist of staff from all faculty areas.

Technology and teaching and learning continues to be a feature with the use of computers, smart boards and the laptops issued to students through the Digital Education Revolution by the Federal Government.

The success of our students is dependent on a close working relationship between the school, parents and community. Therefore the involvement of parents and community in the school is of utmost importance and greatly valued.

Students have the options to be involved in sporting, cultural, creative arts, leadership, and community events to enable them to develop into responsible citizens.

Our website is still being developed so if you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact the school.
